Saracosa Governo Rosso is crafted by award-winning, fourth-generation winemaker, Sofia Barbanera. It’s the premium edition of Saracosa, one of our most-loved Italian red wines.

Sofia uses Tuscany’s ancient ‘governo’ method, blending native Sangiovese with Merlot to create a rich, lavish Super Tuscan. She air-dries a portion of grapes for 20 days to intensify flavour, then ages the wine in small oak casks for four months.

The result is a smooth red with layers of spice. No wonder it’s earned 98 points from Italian wine expert Luca Maroni across multiple vintages – or why Oz Clarke calls it “hedonist’s heaven”.
