It comes from Gisborne, on New Zealand's North Island – home to the world's most easterly vineyards. It's the first wine region to see the light of each new day and its warm temperatures and cool sea breezes make for a Sauvignon of exceptional ripeness and balance. Made at Lake Road winery by the grandsons of the estate's founders, this is peachy, tropical and far softer and more approachable than many Kiwi whites. A wine chosen as carefully as our words.
